Beginning my career as a professional educator in 1999 as a junior science teacher, I have also served as a high school science teacher and spent nearly a decade as a district technology director and executive director. I earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an emphasis in Educational Technology and Technology Management in 2009 from the University of Oklahoma. My Bachelor of Science in Conservation is from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and I have a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Oklahoma.
I currently serve as Executive Director/Educational Information Officer in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, I serve on the Board of Directors for TCEA and currently hold the executive committee role of Convention-Chair. I will chair the 2021 TCEA Convention & Exposition in Dallas, TX (Feb 1 -5, 2021).
